David has been teaching dancing since 1965 and founded The Harwood School of Dancing in 1967.

He is a member of the I.D.T.A North East Area organising committee having been Chairman numerous times.

David is qualified in Ballroom, Latin American, Classical Sequence, Salsa, Line dancing, Argentine Tango and many new genres including cheerleading.

In 2000 David became and Examiner for the IDTA and travels all over the UK and has been abroad to Greece, Korea, Hong Kong both examining and adjudicating.
