Scott Blant-Harwood

Scott started out his dancing as a medalist competitor from his families dance school in Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire he enjoyed great success in ballroom, Latin, classical and modern sequence winning numerous national titles. On finishing competing Scott qualified in Ballroom with the IDTA later taking his licentiate exams in ballroom, Latin American and classical sequence. Scott is a Fellow & Examiner for the Associated Board of Dance  and Vice Chair of their sequence faculty.

After becoming qualified Scott was still hungry to compete so decided to enter inventive sequence competitions where he was successful in having prize winning dances in Ballroom, Latin and Classical sections. 

 

Whilst teaching from the family school Scott trains both open and medalist competitors. His achievements as a teacher have given him even more joy than his own competitive career. His achievements in the 10 years of teaching are a reflection on his passion and commitment to his pupils and the dance world. He’s trained: 

 

WDC World Ballroom Champion.

WDC World Latin Finalists.

Junior British Open Sequence champions. 

Junior British Ballroom and Latin finalists. 

Closed British ballroom and Latin champions. 

British classical sequence champions.

British modern Sequence champions. 

 

Scott also regularly MC’s and DJ’s at competitions and events nationwide as well as being a BDC registered championship adjudicator.
